As always, players start out with a semiautomatic pistol-style weapon, but can purchase new weapons by visiting the gun shops scattered throughout the game.

Your adventure will guide you through each of the five planets, but there are a handful of side-quests and collectibles to encourage you to check every inch of the map. In addition to the opening tutorial level, Into the Nexus contains five unique planets to explore. Like the modern Ratchet & Clank “Future” games, Into the Nexus provides a satisfying mixture of classic 3D platforming with explosive and quirky third-person shooting. Unfortunately, while awakening her from cryo-sleep, Vendra is able to escape, forcing Ratchet and Clank to pursue. At the start of the story, Ratchet and Clank are delivering the captured villain Vendra Prog to serve a quintuple life sentence aboard a massive prison ship. Into the Nexus continues the winding interplanetary tale of Ratchet and Clank, a heroic pair who keep running into villainous masterminds who threaten the universe. Over 12 upgradeable weapons and gadgets.Although it's shorter than most Ratchet & Clank games, Into the Nexus succeeds by introducing some new concepts and staying true to the series' roots.
